I've made this dress three times. The first two times I did not make any adjustments. But I didn't like the knots in the front. We live in a cool climate and sometimes my daughter wears a t-shirt under the dress, in which case I had to adjust the straps. It was a real pain in the butt.
So for my third time with this pattern, I attached the straps in the front (instead of a back) and made one big button-hole in the back bodice. I love this design so much more. It's easier to tie so I can completely untie the bow when undressing, which makes it so easy to get the dress off and on. Also, I can easily pull the front bodice up high so it's more modest.
The pants are a capri length and I like how it looks with the length of the dress. |
