Pattern Description:
Fitted top has raised waist/hemline variations and narrow hem. A and B: back zipper. C: pullover, wrong side shows (back hemline), back neck slit with hook/eye closing. B and C: stitched hems on sleeves. Purchase bias tape to finish necklines and armholes A.
Pattern Sizing:
8-24. I made an 8
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yup exactly like it
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were good...but it is a simple top
Fabric Used:
I used the stretch cotton poplin that FabricMart had for 1.99/yard earlier this year
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the bodice 4 inches longer, the peplum 3 inches shorter, and 1" sloping shoulder adjustment
I wrote detailed instructions on how I made these alterations on my blog post here.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will sew it again in my special stretch silk that I got for this now that I have all my alterations and fitting down (assuming a little more sloping shoulder adjustment will fix those last little wrinkles)
Conclusion:
Love it! (except the sleeves which I can easily fix) It is so cute! I'm glad my alterations to make the peplum begin lower worked so well. You can see tons more pictures and lots of details on my blog post here.
I like the longer line of this- nicely done.
