| Pattern Description: Smock blouse with garibaldi sleeves
Pattern Sizing: 6 - 16. I made the size 12 (a smaller size than my bust measurements suggested!).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? I have the English version of this book. The words are sparse, but the diagrams are very helpful.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? This style really appeals to me. I love the gathered neckline and the floatiness it creates. I thought the sleeves might be 'a bit much' but I think they are fine.
Fabric Used: 1.5m of 140cm wide cotton voile. It was the perfect fabric for this pattern.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I shorted the top by 3 inches (shortening is a normal alteration for me).
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm so happy with this top. I made this top for Christmas Day 2012 (today!) and it was so comfortable and received lots of compliments. I'll definitely be making this again.
Conclusion: If smock tops are your thing, then this is a great pattern. More photos are on my blog - http://bloglessanna.wordpress.com/2012/12/25/japanese-stylish-dress-book-pattern-b-smock-blouse-with-garibaldi-sleeves/

Very pretty top! I am intrigued by Japanese patterns but haven't yet tried them. Your top is lovely.
