This is my entry for the 2012 Sewing For Children contest.
I made 9 pieces - three dresses, three leggings, three jackets, in order to create three piece matching outfits for my three littlest cousins for Christmas, ages 7 months, 5.5 years, and 8 years. The outfits are sized 9months, girls 6 and girls 6. The bigger two are the same size.
The dresses are made from a cotton lycra printed to look like knitting stitches. I found it at Joanns, part of the Juvenile Apparel collection.
The leggings are a teal cotton interlock with silver sparkle. Also Joanns Juvenile Apparel.
The jackets are a teal velour, purchased at a fabric outlet, after I bought the other fabric and planned the dresses and leggings. It is a perfect match and I love the addition of the jackets!
All three of the jackets have fabric from the dresses appliqued onto them as part of the embroidery design (look at the large tulip). All garments are finished with overlocked seams and plenty of topstitching plus size tags and labels for a very RTW look and so they can be handed down in the future! I can not wait to give it to them at our family party! They will love it! Till then, photos on hangers will have to do.

I am amazed at your beautiful work! I have been debating about getting an embroidery machine. I think I'm convinced. Any suggestions?

Just AWESOME! Love, love, love the color combo! Your cousins are very fortunate to have you as cousin. :)

Thank for both! My mom actually did the embroidery for me - she has a Bernina embroidery machine. I did the design work and she did the actual embroidery :)
