Pattern Description:
And you thought we only made girls’ stuff! As I mentioned, we had the amazing honor of creating these bow ties for a little website you may have heard of called Martha Stewart, and as you mentioned, you’d like the tute. So here is our free bow tie pattern for you! Pattern Sizing:
all ages Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes Were the instructions easy to follow?
yes What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked the usage of interfacing so that I didn't have to handsew the opening after turning the fabric inside out for the main piece. Fabric Used:
Liberty fabric scrap Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made a hair clip instead of a bow tie. I just hand sewed it to a hair clip I had lying around.
I used a woven single sided interfacing and added Iron-on double-sided fusible web to make a double sided interfacing because that is what I had in my stash. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
yes I have made this 2 times before and I didn't think of making it for girls until it showed up on my niece's Christmas list. Yes I would recommend it. Conclusion:
Fast and easy project with lots of possibilities. I will be making more of these.
Cute.
