Pattern Description: A knit pullover. This is better than a t-shirt. It has a deep scoop neck, wide cuffs, and a high/low type of bottom band.
Pattern Sizing: 36-44
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Pretty much, but not as loose as I expected on the lower band and a lower v-neck than I thought.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Well, it is a burda pattern, so instructions are succinct. They were easy enough to follow, though I was thrown off a bit by the neckline. Instead of a normal knit band on the neckline, the pattern has you make a bias tape finish by first sewing one shoulder seam, attach the bias tape, and then sew the second shoulder seem. I have never done a neckline like this before, so I had to read the instructions a few times more out of surprise than non-understanding
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I actually really like the neckline, though it was weird at first. I also like the fit. I have grown to appreciate the European sizing system.
Fabric Used: ITY knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, but next time I will use a soft cuddly fabric. I think that this pattern would be nice and look very different than my ITY silky zebra fabric.
Conclusion: I liked this pattern as it has the comfort of a t-shirt but a lot more style.
