Pullover, close-fitting, lined dress has draped sides and narrow hem. Pattern Sizing:
6-14 Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! Mine is a little shorter than the model's Were the instructions easy to follow?
Super easy What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Love the close fit, ruching on the side, the topstitching on the ruching, easy as pie construction. No dislikes Fabric Used:
I know it is a poly-spandex but I think it has some cotton in it, as well. NOTE: my fabric had very little stretch. I would compare it to a lightweight ponte knit. I was really afraid the finished dress was going to be too small but it fits like a glove. Several reviews said this pattern runs large so the non-stretchiness of my knit may have saved me. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did not line mine. My fabric has some body and it is not sheer. I used my ruffler attachment for the ruching. It made perfectly spaced pleats set at every 6th stitch and a wide fold. Here is a pic of the ruching from the inside...you can see the RTW effect made by the ruffler. I then serged above and below the ruching to finish the side seams. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and absolutely. This dress is going to be a staple in my closet. It has a myriad of possibilities to be dressed up or down. Conclusion:
I love this dress! More pictures on my blog. Happy New Year everyone!
