Pattern Description: Fleece Pillow in a Quilt Blanket and Carry Bags. I did View D the quillo.

Pattern Sizing:One Size

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? I think they were

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I liked everything about this pattern

Fabric Used:Glacier Fleece from Hancocks

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any changes in this pattern.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I made 4 of these, I would make it again.

Conclusion: This is a great WOW factor gift. I made some up as Christmas presents. I went into this project with a certain mindset. I had made a Quillo years ago from a different pattern(McCall 8657) and expected the pocket application to be the same...it's not! Once I got my brain cells unchained from the McCall application, things made sense.

This makes up in a nice full size blanket, and when folded up into the pocket, makes a pillow that measures about 20x20...it's big! My only problem with this pattern is when they want you to stitch in the ditch around the pillow. It's almost impossible to keep both layers even and the stitching in the ditch. But I came to realize, this is fleece, and a fun thing, not something to be handed down through the generations...a few flaws are not a problem, especially when the folks receiving them are overjoyed by the size, softness and the "coolness" of it becoming a blanket or a pillow.

One other thing, these can be really expensive, if you don't get super deals on the fleece. Hancocks had a good sale before Christmas and I scored well there. If paying full price for the fleece, each pillow would have cost about $60.00! With my sale prices, they were about $18.00 each.

Just for a kick, these would make a nice hostess gift. Wine is hard to choose, but everyone can use a pillow or blanket. If another pillow or blanket is the last thing you need around the house, they are great for RV users(was my thought for nephew and his wife), and I keep one in the car(never know when you will need a blanket or a pillow).

I like your blanket/pillow combos. What a great idea to keep one in the car, too. Love those fabrics.
