Pattern Description: Loose fitting over blouse

Pattern Sizing:I use size 8 to fit my shoulders

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I did not like how the hidden plaque was designed, very cumbersome & awkward & hard to get the buttons buttoned.

Fabric Used: 100% cotton

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made the back the same length as the front, shortened the sleeves

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, this is a great pattern for leather or suede

Conclusion: I am off to a rough start. This is the first garment I made in 8 years. I did not mark carefully enough which made it difficult especially with the dark fabric. I shortened the sleeves & it increased the bottom width. I could not use the cuff facings because I forgot to increase the size they were too small after I made the length adjustment. I did not have enough fabric to cut another set of facings. The blouse is cute, a good basic shirt/jacket. I would use a different method for the hidden plaque.

	LLC333 said... I did not do the couture techniques but like the hidden buttonhole band. That is the only feature I would put the time into on a printed dark cotton. You are correct the pattern calls for the shirt in lightweight crepe with contrasting binding. 1/3/13 11:19 AM
