Pattern Description:Loose-fitting jacket has contrast reverse side, front extending into collar, collar/front/sleeve/lower bands, side front seams, welt pockets, darted sleeve cap, no shoulder seams, and topstitching. Bands (collar, sleeve, lower): cut on crosswise grain of fabric.
Pattern Sizing: sm - XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes--though it took some thought regarding the layout to best show off the reverse/contrast called for
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the cut and the design detail that using the reverse of the fabric as contrast added. I'm still not crazy about all the raw edges, but know that it added to the design element. Certainly made for easy sewing!
Fabric Used: A gorgeous cotton knit with moderate stretch I found here in UB. The wrong side was a soft fleece--but not thick and stretchy like fleece in US. It also had a 6-inch band of ribbed detailing down the center of the fabric. I used this stripe down the back and in some detailing on the front
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I finished the cuffs by folding up and serving as one piece as I thought they might ravel and/or stretch out of shape
Would you sew it again? Certainly if I came across the right fabric--red would be great! Would you recommend it to others? Yes
Conclusion: I got tons of wear out of this during the fall and into early winter

Love this. I had to sneak on to your blog to get the full view. Very pretty and am not surprised that you get a lot of wear out of it.

Yum. Loving that aqua color and you've certainly put that piece of fabric to the best use! Very pretty. I think you're correct - it does seem to need just the right fabric to make it look special. There are lots of these loose cardis out there but I particularly love this one.

Lovely jacket. Question, where is UB? Your bio says you are from Colorado.

I'm convinced to try this pattern. The two reviews that have been posted of it have been really useful! I was more than a little concerned about the boxy shape, but yours looks super. I do think the fabric has to be just right, and you did a great job of matching fabric to pattern. Nice cardi!
