Pattern Description: Knit tops with princess seams and stitched hems. A: sleeveless armholes with bias tape finish. B: cowl collar neckline with below elbow length sleeves. C: scoop neckline with bias tape finish.

Pattern Sizing: 8-14

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Very

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really liked the semi-cowl neck version

Fabric Used: rayon ponte knit from Joannes for the body and a fabulous rayon glitter knit, also from Joannes (it was regular $19.99 a yard and I got one yard 50% off)

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I inserted the glitter knit into the center & neck & back. Worn with black pants or skirt, the color blocking makes it extra slimming. bonus! Oh, and I took an inch off of the sleeves as usual--oops. Had to add bands of the glitter knit

Would you sew it again? Absolutely. Hope to make the sleeveless version with cowl for a classy summer top or to wear under a jacket. Would you recommend it to others? yes

Conclusion: This was a great top to wear during the holidays when something festive yet a bit conservative was called for. I got a lot of wear out of it!

	missyyz said... Well well well !! I had purchased this identical fabric (the gold stretch - at Jo-Ann in BUF NY - full price LOL a few months back) and I planned it for this EXACT pattern. Too funny. I never thought to color block though. That looks fantastic ! 1/10/13 1:34 PM
