| Pattern Description: From the website: "With that, I took the 60s as my inspiration and made this ultra-simple and swingy little top! With its ultra simple construction (just two pattern pieces plus some bias tape, and no closures needed), elegant loose cut shaped with bust darts, and the box pleat detail down the front, this is a pattern you can throw together in a huge range of fabrics for summer."

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of - but mine is better!!! I am larger than the designer so accept that garments on me will look different . . . . !
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It is so simple and yet looks fabulous!
Fabric Used: A very loud 100% cotton!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a CB seam to allow a swayback adjustment, FBA, forward shoulder, lengthen.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes. And let me share these with you! I am using this pattern for my entry into the 'One Pattern, Many Looks Contest'
#1 The Original this is a wearable muslin described above, photos can be found here
#2 Pansy Sorbetto I fell in love with this gorgeous patterned cotton fabric on the cutting table at my local fabric store - another customer had purchased fabric from the bolt and it had been left there, waiting for staff to return it. And so I bought the rest of the bolt - about 4m. It has such lovely cheery colors! I changed the finish on this and the subsequent ones as follows: All seams are french seams and the binding was added to the wrong side of the fabric and pressed and sewn to the front. This is in accordance with the instructions and the finish is much better.
#3 Dotty Sorbetto I had seen a number of Sorbettos online made from dotty fabric, so I had to have one! The blue background is a lovely variegated fabric. Perfect! I used some cotton trim gifted to me from my Aunt and some lovely burgundy buttons.
#4 Yellow & Black Sorbetto I bought this fabric from WalMart - it is a quilting length of 2m, so I have a fair bit left over! I thought that the bright, zingy yellow worked really well with the black and grey print. This feels very fresh and will be perfect with a black suit for work. Three black buttons down the front finished it off.

#5 SockBunny Sorbetto I thought it would be useful to have a plain Sorbetto, but the fabric was just too thick to make the binding, so inspired by some buttons that I was gifted in a yarn Secret Santa, I used a fat quarter of fabric that matched the buttons. My blog post on this topic can be found here.
#6 Candy Stripes This fabric is cotton with a little lycra. It also has a finish like seersucker. Very nice! Due to the stretch I thought that I might have a problem with the bias binding, so I chose a co-ordinating fat quarter with I think is rather cute! Unfortunately you loose the front pleat details due to the stripes 
#7 Lilac Sorbetto I have this fabric since 2000. I distinctly remember buying from a bolt end fabric shop in Walsall (UK). It is 100% cotton and is slightly thicker than shirting as it is actually sheeting. I bought some to make a duvet cover and matching pillow case - that never happened, but it keep smiling at me from my stash, beckoning me to stitch it up into some loveliness. So I did. I thought that the fabric would be too thick for the bias binding, but I pressed the heck out if it and it looks just great!

Conclusion: A great pattern that has been reviewed by many before me and for good reason. The pattern is very easy to sew up and and can be easily customized. I plan to make many more of these, including silk!

I love this top on you! Funny, I have that pattern all altered and have never actually made more than a muslin. I suppose I'll make it soon thanks to you!
