A Divine Dinner dress inspired by the Andre Courréges' designed wardrobe for Romy Schnieder in the movie "LaPiscine."
Available at The Heroine's Closet! Size Medium, 36"-38" Bust. This pattern is graded XS thru XL, but I've no way to get it to y'all! So, if anyone knows a digital pattern maker/grader looking for work - I 've got lots!
I made my Divine Dinner from a green/blue poly mesh from Hancock Fabrics and lined it with white tricot from Britex. It came together well. I did need to assess the lightweight knit/mesh/needle conundrum. I settled on a size 9 ball point and spray fabric stabilizer. The spray was the bomb and every sewing room needs a can.
Pattern Notes & Skill Level: This pattern is currently only offered in a size Medium, 36"-38" bust, but it is easily altered. Instructions assume an intermediate sewing level. Pattern layout is not included but both dress front and back are cut on the straight grain fold. This pattern has been drafted to allow for either braless/wearing of a bra, depending on how low you decide to open the back facing. I went for the Easy Reach to First Base opening.
