Pattern Description:
Tunic or Dress (I made both versions)
Pattern Sizing:
XS-XL (I made the L)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were easy and I also like the photos that are included with each step. The only fiddly part is the placket, but as long as you follow the steps carefully, it's fine.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like the fit of this pattern. In my opinion, it looks much better on a person than on a hanger. It has enough ease to make it comfortable, but it's fitted in the upper chest to keep it from being too baggy.
Fabric Used:
I made one tunic version in quilting cotton and one dress in hemp. Both fabrics worked well.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The only alteration I made was to take a few inches off the tunic so that it hit me at hip level and I added 3 inches to the dress so that it still came above the knee, but wasn't outrageously short. I'm 5'9" so that may not be a necessary alteration for others.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I love the ease of construction as well as the look of the finished garments. I ordered the paper pattern which is currently sold out, but the downloadable pdf is still on the Wiksten site.
Conclusion:
I have already worn the shirt several times and have plans to make several other versions in nicer quality fabrics. I may not need any more of the dress in my wardrobe, but I think there's definitely room for more casual shirts.
Photos of the dress on my blog.

I like what you are wearing. The dress looks stylish and comfortable, so all good in my book.
