Pattern Sizing: I made a size 6, but ended up shaving an inch off of both side seams. I will start with a 4 next time.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? They were, however, I mostly followed along with the sewalong posted by Lauren of lladybird.wordpress.com
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The curved waistband and the rise on these pants makes for a very comfortable pant. They don't gape at all when I bend over. These pants also have all of the classic details found on a tailored pant.
Fabric Used: Heavyweight stretch denim
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would definitely make these again. They are a very classic shape and style.
Conclusion: These pants are a god send for anyone who is pear/ hourglass shaped. I think these are the first pants I've *ever* owned that fit my thighs and my waist. More photos and info can be found on my blog, Dapper Duds

Anyway, I love your pair from the pattern and also love your wonderful way of looking at things as a learning experience. You did a beautiful job on your Thurlows, and I can't wait to see your next pair/pairs! :-) 1/6/13 9:08 PM

clothingengineer said... You pants look fantastic! This is one of my favorite patterns. One thing I did with my denim Thurlows that really helped with the welt pockets was iron some interfacing onto the back before attaching the welts. I have washed them multiple times since and there's been no issues with fraying. 1/6/13 10:03 PM
