Pattern Sizing: 8 - 16. I sewed a size 14 but I took in the sides about 2 cm throughout
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, but please excuse the bunching of the fabric in the snap.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Very easy. This is the second time I have sewed this dress, and i followed the same steps as outlined in my previous review.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It was great to sew this a second time, and it took no time at all because I had made all the adjustments previously.
Fabric Used: I just love sewing ponte knit. I used my walking foot throughout when sewing this dress (and the previous one), and i also adjusted the pressure of the foot in my Bernina machine from the usual 45 to 32. Confess not sure what "units" these represent, but I've been told to do this when quilting thicker layers of fabric, and i didn't want the pieces to stretch or pull as I sewed. It was very successful, particularly when doing the topstitching.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I took in the side seams and sewed the front and back sections separately and then joined them. I think the version in the solid colour looks quite different from the colour-block version.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I will definitely be sewing a winter weight version in ponte wool.
Conclusion: One is not enough!
