Pattern Description: To create this pattern, I drafted the 'jabot yoke' and 'waist front' as one from an original 1934 McCall ensemble pattern (all images showing this are seen via link above). Since I omitted the attached skirt of the overdress, I drafted enough length and ease to the 'waist' pieces so it could be worn as a blouse.
This image highlights the integrated jabot collar I created.
I chose to style the final pattern with the long sleeves and French cuffs. The self-faced jabot collar is in one with the blouse front.
Pattern Sizing: regular for bust sizes 32 inches to 42 inches.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I think others who may not be as used to sewing vintage patterns may have trouble with the scant amount of instructions included.
Fabric Used: I used a silk shantung doupioni, fully lined with 10 mm habotai and cut a self-facing for the jabot collar.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made no alterations aside from incorporating the original vintage patterns to make the jabot blouse design.
