| Pattern Description:
Misses' pullover dress and belt, with bodice, sleeve and neckline variations.
I made view B, front V-neckline, sleeveless bodice with front and back flounces.
Pattern Sizing:
D5 (4-6-8-10-12); P5 (12-14-16-18-20)
I sewed size 12.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, they were very clear.
As usually, I read all the instructions (I do not like bad surprises).
I found very helpful the Runway tips and the Designer's additions sections.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like:
- the front and back flounces;
- the front and back V-necklines;
- the interfaced neck and armhole bias binding;
- the A-line skirt and the elasticized waist.
I have no dislikes.
Fabric Used: Polyester Crepe.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I omitted the pockets and the belt.
I stiched the waistline casing down to the skirt before inserting an elastic through it.
This elastic casing, which is also the waist seam allowance of the dress, has been widened because I used an 3/4" elastic rather than the 1/4" recommended for.
I did a tie bow and tacked it over casing at the center front.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I would sew it again, with short sleeves and a pleated collar.
Yes, I would recommend it to others. The dress is very easy to sew, and other nice bodice variations can be made using this pattern.
Conclusion:
I like the look of the dress once made. It is really simply cute. The flounces give to the dress a flattering and refreshing touch. There is enough ease for salsa and bachata moves.
I made three of the same version and it is always a delight to wear them.
