Pattern Description:
Pattern has vest. top and pants. I modified the top to make a night shirt.
Pattern Sizing:
Multi-sized. I cut a 22.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
No, because I modified it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't need them. This is a super easy top.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I wanted just a flowy night shirt. I had used the pattern to make tops, and they were easy to sew and comfy, so I thought I could just make the top longer to use as a night shirt.
I'm not sure why the pattern is supposed to have center front and back seams. I eliminated both.
Fabric Used:
A rayon jersey I found on fabric,com. It has almost no stretch and is not as soft as I had hoped. I pre-washed well, though.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
As I said, I eliminated the front and back center seams by cutting on the fold. I actually just used the back piece to cut the shirt front and back together, and cut the lower front neck from one piece.
I just serged the neck edge and rolled it under once. I found some pretty beaded elastic and applied that to the edge.
I had lettuce rolled edge hem for the sleeves and bottom.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I'm sure I will. It is very comfortable and lends itself to add bling.
