| Pattern Description:
Jodhpur pants from Patrones Magazine nº 297 #21
Pattern Sizing: 40-44-48. In this magazine you have to draw the intermediate sizes, so if you are unlucky and you are a size 42 bring out the ruler! Also the sizing is smaller than Burda. I used a 42 for these pants whereas with Burda I use a 38
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, only I used the fabrics the other way round. The shiny part for the contrast
Were the instructions easy to follow? Are you serious? Patrones doesn´t even tell you what pieces you have to interface, you are lucky to get diagrams on how to place the pattern on your fabric! Now, really, the instructions are scarce
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the jodhpur style without the bagginess I have seen in other patterns. Loved all the unusually shaped pieces of the pattern as well.
What I did not like is that the top part, hips and waist area was massively big, I had to take in various inches, but the leg part was really skinny, so much so that I had to take out some seam lines
Fabric Used:A suede-like fabric that is shiny and nice on the wrong side
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
The pattern asked to add a cord inside the waistband, but I found that so unnecessary, besides it has the belt loops.
Another big issue were the mock pockets on the back. I wanted them to enhance the bottom area, but if you place them as per the pattern they land below the bottom curve so it looks terrible! I placed them 5 cm. higher Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will problably make this again. And I recommend them if you like the jodhpur look
Conclusion:
I had fun making these. The only issue I have with them is that. being skinny I cannot finish the seams with bias binding, and I do not own a serger yet, so the inside does not look very neat.

Very cute! At first glance, it looked like the boots and pants were all-in-one. Great color match, makes your legs look so long! These really look great on your figure. Nice review, thanks.
