Pattern Description:
A figure-skimming top with no closures, due to the flattering bias cut.
Pattern Sizing:
0 - 18. I cut a 4 in the bust, 10 in waist and hip. I used my french curve for the first time to grade the pattern from a 4 to a 10. It had a much nicer look to it compared to when I would do it by hand.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy, I love that they include a glossary and detailed instructions.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I disliked the facings. Next time I will use a bias tape binding to finish the collar. I loved that this did not require a zipper. Just fabric and thread. Over all this shirt cost (minus my time) me $8.73 for the fabric and the pattern was a christmas present.
Fabric Used:
Cotton Voile from fabric.com
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I added two 1/2" darts on the back at the neck.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes! Yes!
Conclusion:
I'm on a shirt making kick, so I love how this came out. I will be making at least one more of these.
Love your version of the Jasmine. The fit is lovely.
