| Pattern Description: Tops and bottoms
Pattern Sizing: I made a size 10, though took in sides to a size 6.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Mostly, except for the back.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, quite.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I don't know if I can blame the pattern or my fabric, but it was a real mess around the neckline.
Fabric Used: A stretchy rib knit.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: As mentioned above, I had to take in the sides from the recommended cutting size so that it didn't look so much like a bag. I also had extensive issues with the neckline stretching, and had to take drastic measures in the back where the neckline was just flopping around, so much so that I created a giant dart (removing the material underneath altogether) that ended up going most of the way down my back to avoid unsightly puckering. Oh, boy, was this a trial! I also feared more stretching around the armholes, so made a bias out of scrap and stretched that while pinning and sewed it on instead of rolling the edges. Can't say for certain if that was a good call, but it certainly was a learning experience.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I believe perhaps with different fabric this may have turned out better, perhaps I'll try again someday, it sure would be nice to have a workable pattern for something so simple as a tank top. The directions were certainly easy enough and it seems as though it should be a quick and easy.
Conclusion: I added also one inch of length, and that was just enough for a top on the shorter side, I would certainly advise adding more.
