Pattern Description: Pullover dresses: semi-fitted through bust, with back neck slit, hook and eye closing, bias tape neckline finish
Pattern Sizing: 8 to 24; I initially sewed a straight 18, according to my measurements. The bust area was too big. I sewed a second version, using my high bust instead, which resulted in a 16 on top, grading to 18 on bottom. Fit was excellent in the second version.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes, very much
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? easy to sew, I am a knit-novice, bu this pattern made it easy. Used fabric on hand, so this was a good stash buster... both versions. I know the purchased bias tape isn't a popular finish for neck lines, but I had some that matches, and it turned out great! It's all turned to the inside and topstitched, so it's not visible. I carefully pressed it into the right shape, and it went in nicely.
Fabric Used: ponte roma knits
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: other than grading to a different size at the hip, no changes.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? yes, it's a classic look, make a good dress for the office.
Conclusion: Recommended!
