Pattern Description: Handbags with different embellishments. I used View A.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. It was clearly written & well illustrated.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Ease of construction makes this an A+ pattern. "People" have told me that Vogue patterns are the hardest to make/follow, but I honestly have not found that to be true.
Fabric Used: Novelty Cotton including vintage.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I used ready made bamboo handles intead of fabric handles and placed a self-fabric zippered pouch w/exposed zipper on the front.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Maybe and definitely, respectively.
Conclusion: I was expecting this to be a petite bag, but it's rather roomy. Which is nice because I can throw a LOT of stuff in it. There's an inner pocket for cell phone/glasses and an outer pocket for pens/lipstick to keep the light colored lining clean.
The only reason I might not make this one again any time soon is that I like having a variety of handbag styles and one of this variety is enough. For now. Level of difficulty-wise this was WAYYYYY easier than the laptop bag.

Quite a different and inspired interpretation of the pattern than the photo on the pattern envelope. My husband would definitely steal this if given a chance--and carry all his electronics paraphernalia around in it! Congrats on your entry! 1/28/13 6:01 PM
