Pattern Description:
From Peek-a-boo patterns - Alex & Anna Winter PJs
Keep your little ones warm and cozy in a pair of Alex & Anna Winter PJs. Perfect for little boys and girls and a wardrobe staple for any child. These are so easy to sew you'll find yourself making a pair for every day of the week!
Pattern Sizing:
6 months - 8 years. I made the 3T size
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, the photos included in the pdf were accurate.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Instructions were great, step by step with color photos. This is a very easy pattern to make but I appreciated the detail.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a PDF download which doesn't follow the standard grid formula for the printed sheets. However were to cut was marked with dashed lines and I found it easy to put together.
On the sewing side, I loved how easy this pattern was sew up and I really like the finished product. The set seems very close to the store bought PJ's we already have. Also really liked that suggested elastic sizes were given for the waist band.
Fabric Used:
Jersey print originally purchased from the Ottobre etsy store in 2010. Ribbing from Lilbabythangs also on etsy.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
No alterations or changed made. My son currently wears 2T so in the photos the PJ's look a little baggy. That's only because they are a size too big. The jersey was rather expensive and I wanted to get a lot of wear out of them.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I would sew it again and highly recommend the pattern if you want to whip up some PJ's for your children. I might make a couple for his cousins.
Conclusion:
Cute and simple pattern and I used up some stash. Excellent!

Very good fit for these PJs with the winged dragons. Nice stitching at the neckline and cuff ribbing, too. I remember the importance of streamlined clothing like these PJs when playing around blocks and legos so the clothing does not get in the way of the construction!
