Pattern Description:
From Simplicity "Toddler's and child's dress sewing pattern with bodice and trim variations."

Pattern Sizing:
1/2-6. I sewed a 1 based on DD's chest measurement & it fits PERFECT.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Even better, if I do say so myself ;)

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes; I think the pleat instructions could have been just a touch clearer, but it turned out just fine!

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Love the details of this pattern. The pleated sleeves & skirt were a nice touch. Also, this pattern allows for a lot of design changes (aside from the ones provided). You could switch the pleats to gathers or omit them completely.

Fabric Used:
Quilting cottons that I had stashed

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I took liberties with the seam allowances, using 3/8" seams on the sleeves & upper bodice. The sleeves because the holes looked so darn small (it's been awhile since I've sewn for my toddler; they would have been fine) and the middrift/bodice seam because I hadn't been very thorough with my marking & didn't want to catch the cummerbund in the seam.

Also 'shirred' the cummerbund instead of gathering. And tacked it down. Decreased the hem to 1/2" double folded hem to keep as much length as possible. As is, it hits DD right below the knee.
Pattern calls for putting the zipper 1" below neckline & inserting a hook & eye. I just placed it on the seamline & omitted the hook & eye. Worked great.

Also--first time doing a lapped zipper...NAILED IT. Love the result. Super easy.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
YES. I will totally sew it again. There are just too many possible variations to pass it up. This pattern just became my "block" for future dresses

Conclusion:
LOVE. This is my absolute favorite dress that I've sewn for DD.
