Pattern Description: girls' tunic, prairie style
Pattern Sizing: I made a 7
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes,except I made it 4" longer and put a tuck in the sleeve to shorten it.
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes, I did find an error where the notches did not line up. I forget which pieces were off...I think it was the side seams of the front body and back body.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? All the gathering was a tad tedious, but my ruffler helped speed things up.
Fabric Used:a brown cotton plaid from Joann's. fairly loose weave. Wanted a drab fabric that looked like an orphan costume from annie.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: made dress body 4" longer because I wanted a dress, not a tunic. It's the perfect nightgown length if you add 4" btw. I also added a tuck in the sleeve because my daughter is tiny for a 7 year old. Even the 6 would have had sleeves too long for her.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely recommend it's a great pattern. I will experiment with different fabrics. Also, buttons weren't necessary. It pulled over her head easily while buttoned.
Conclusion: great little pattern. I will make more for sure.
