This is my second version of the Simplicity 2451 skirt! The first time I made view D in houndstooth (view here), and this time is view C in a gray leopard print denim. I loved my first skirt so much, except it was just a little too short than I like, so I went with the longer length this time, and I'm so glad I did. This dress features pleats in the front, darts in the back, pockets, and a back vent at the hem. I used an exposed zipper (my first one) in black and silver, and I love how it looks! The only issue I had was with the fit - in the back between the waistband and the hips there is an extra poofi-ness in the fabric. It's not too tight around the hips, so I'm not sure what would be causing it - I'll have to look into it before I make this skirt again, which I definitely will!

Great skirt - I love the fabric and the exposed zipper is perfect for it!
