Pattern Description:
Knit pull-on dress with faux wrap bodice.
Pattern Sizing:
Sizing is quite individual, and quite forgiving. I took my high bust, full bust, and waist measurements and used the pattern instrucitons to trace the pieces to my measurements exactly, however my mum has made her own dress using my traced pieces and it fits her nicely too, despite us being different shapes.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! The drawing is quite accurate (and rather adorable, dont you think?)

Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very. Clearly written and easy to follow.
The best part come just before step 1, where a drawing of the finished garmet shows clearly which seams will be sewin in order. It gives you a good idea of how the dress will come together, and makes the whole thing less daunting before you even start.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the sizing mechanism. Sizes are determined by actual measurements, which is perfect for anyone who is not an 'out of the box' size.
Also, the side seams are the last step, makign it super easy to adjust the final fit as you sew them up, again helping to achieve a dress that fits just right.
Fabric Used:
A silky nylon lycra. A bit too stretch really, but I liked the colours. My first Tiramisu was a medium / heavy weight cotton lycra, which had better 'recovery' and felt nicer with the firm fabric. I'm going to try a merino-wool-knit long sleeved version for Winter. Delicious!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made minor alterations to the under-bust gathers during the first in-built fit-check step, and also came in a little at the waist when sewing up the side seams. All easy to do as you sew, and all clearly explained in the pattern.
Oh, and with the super-stretchy nylon lycra, the top was gaping a little, so I added what I call a 'modesty patch' - it's a triangle of fabric sewn in the V of the bust, which looks like an undershirt. I love the look of it actually, and might include one in my next dress too!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh yes, this will be my most-used pattern I expect. I love the look, feel and fit of this lovely frock, and it's first to be worn out of the wash. I need five of them, I think.
And yes, highly recommended to all body shapes and ages. The only tricky bit is sewing with knits if you haven't done it before.
Conclusion:
Love love love this dress.
Going to make a few as gifts this year, and a few more for myself.
Can you believe this is the FIRST commercial pattern from this label? I can't wait for the next few!
