Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, very accurate. My shirt was a bit stiff, but that's due to fabric choice. Shorts look fantastic.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes. There were a few things I hadn't done before, but they all came together pretty smoothly, and the instructiosn were clear and supported by good diagrams, so I just went step-by-step.
Shorts Detail
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the contrast band on the shorts. Just gorgeous.
Also, having elastic on the back of the shorts for fit, but a flat front waistband, makes them less bulky and quite smart looking from the front.
Fabric Used:
Quilting cotton (hence the stiff shirt, although it's a great weight for the shorts).
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
None.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I'd like to do these shorts for a few more little girls I know. Theyre' so much fun, and look so darn cute! I coudl just imagine them on a little pair of legs in roller skates. Reminds me of growing up in the 70's.
Conclusion:
Great pattern, although a little challenging in parts. Instructions are clear though, and results are definately worth it. Highly recommended!
