Pattern Description: Leggings with an elastic waist, also option for an attached miniskirt.
Pattern Sizing:36-44
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Pretty much. I made the skirtless version, which in the magazine is pictured with the model scrunched over so all waistline details are lost, but Burda, right?
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't look at them. Leggings. Two seams.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I wanted a basic leggings pattern, and this was it. I liked the shaping in the legs particularly, as most leggings patterns are straight cut. These are shaped at the thigh and calf for a comfortable fit. I also really liked the higher waistline, which you can't really appreciate in the magazine. I generally have to add length to the rise on pants, but these were so high I actually lowered them as I was adding a separate waistband, rather than cased elastic.
Fabric Used: Cotton/lycra jersey from Girl Charlee
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I added a fold over "yoga" waistband rather than using an elastic casing for the waistband. Super easy, super comfortable and no muffin top!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I'm already planning to sew this again. They are cute, comfortable and easy to sew. Big win!! I do recommend this pattern.
Conclusion: Be aware that the rise is rather high - sitting at or just above the natural waist. Other than that, love this pattern! |
