Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Except for the part where it was totally shapeless.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the patchwork part of the design, but I hate that there is no fit at all. This works great on waif body-types, or even athletic with a bit of curve, but on anyone else it either highlights the lumps or is left as a sack. And I'm not putting myself down, either, I've gained a lot of muscle tone this last year (enough to brave the bikini at the beach) and I still didn't like how it looked on me.
Fabric Used:
Some sort of knit, probably a cotton-poly mix. I actually couldn't get it to go through my serger, so most of the seams are zig-zagged, straight or hand zig-zagged.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I shortened it two inches in the middle and also shortened the straps quite a bit. I'm 5'3"
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Nope! Not unless I became a stick figure. I didn't even have the heart to attempt the knit jacket.
Conclusion:
I should have known better based off of the pictures from other reviews.
