Pattern Sizing: Small for the top, medium for the bottom.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Very
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I loved the ties on this suit. I think they made this suit much more fun than without...and I especially liked the ties on my hips. I think it's a ver flattering look for my figure. I also liked how quick this was to sew.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The only change I made was to the bottom. I curved the back part from a medium to a large for a little extra coverage. I also cut the leg elastic an inch or two shorter than recommended.
For the tankini, I had to lengthen the top an inch or two. KS ALWAYS are short on me.
If I make the skirt again, I would probably lengthen it a couple of inches..it's kind of short as is and you have to wear it low on your hips. The KS picture is accurate.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Well, I have a lot already, but If I want another I will.

Immelu said... Wow sewnotwork! $72!!!! I looked them up and while nice...that's expensive! I didn't buy any material on line for the suits. All came from either Needle Nook Fabrics in Wichita (I live here) or Hancocks. Anne Sinclair runs Needle Nook and she ships if you call the store. She usually has a great selection of solids and a pretty diverse selection of prints. I've also heard good things of spandex house in NYC, but I've never bought from them. With NNF here in town, I don't really need to go online for this sort of thing. 2/2/13 7:46 PM
