Pattern Description: I used the strapless bodice from 4070 and Sewaholics Cambie dress for the skirt. I then added my own thick straps.
Pattern Sizing: 14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? No but again, I wasn't trying to
Were the instructions easy to follow? Didn't use them
Fabric Used: This gorgeous apple Seersucker print. I was a little nervous about using Seersucker as I figured it would be difficult to sew with but I was nicely surprised. It's also a great fabric to wear even though it's not particularly soft.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made the strapless bodice from 4070, then added the full skirt from Sewaholics Cambie Dress with the pockets. Once I was finished, I added two thick straps which I carefully placed so that they cover my bra straps. The only issue I have with them is that they bunch up a little with wear so I should have interfaced them.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Looking at the pictures it's quite flattering but I always feel a little frumpy in it. It was supposed to be a good beach dress and something to wear on those ridiculously hot days when you really don't want anything heavy on. It works well for that.
Conclusion: I really like this dress for shopping, beach days or just around the house.

Nope, not at all frumpy. It's gorgeous, so don't confine it to the house, or even the beach.
