This is my first review! I loved the design of this pattern so much that I made it three times! I've made the shorts (view C), pants (view A) and skirt (view D).
Pattern Description:
Easy Misses' skirt, pants and short pattern with elasticised waist and optional waist tie.
Pattern Sizing:
Size 12
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really liked the waist tie. It's a great way of creating a belted look without using a lot of fabric. The elastic waist made the pattern easy to sew.
Fabric Used:
Shorts: Cotton with a 'denim' look in light blue
Pants: Cotton sateen with geometric floral print in blue and green
Skirt: Cotton with a 'country quilt' design in red and cream
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Shorts: No alterations.
Pants: The legs on this were WAY too wide. They looked like baggy pyjama pants when I first tried them on. I ended up taking 4cm out of each leg and then they looked much better. I also had to shorten the length a little because I'm rather short.
Skirt: I wanted a skirt with a little more flare at the bottom, so I altered the pattern slightly, keeping the top part the same and flaring it out a further 3cm at the bottom. After I cut it out, I realised that I made an error: the fabric was crooked, which looked particularly bad given the design of the fabric used. I didn't have any fabric leftover, so I re-cut the skirt fron what I cut out. As a result, I had to take about 2cm off each side, but given my experience with the pants, I thought this would still fit okay. The skirt was also a bit shorter too.
All views: The pattern instructed me to use 2cm elastic, but I found this too wide to fit through the waistband. I used 1.2cm elastic instead.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I might not sew it again for a while because I've already made it three times! I would definently recomend it to other sewers though, especially if you're like me and have only really just started sewing.
Conclusion:
This is a lovely pattern which was easy to make, but may need to be taken in little at the sides.

Isn't it great when you can use a pattern thoroughly? Good job on all these pieces.
