Pattern Sizing: Only one size bunny is included in this pattern.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yees
Were the instructions easy to follow? Somewhat (see below)
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love Carol's patterns. I use a lot of them for gifts. They are quick and easy. This is the first time I sewed this particular pattern and found that the instructions were a bit confusing. For instance, she tells you to sew between the 2 cent signs (c with a line through it) and there are no symbols like that anywhere on the pattern - nor a reasonable substitute. There are also three darts and two are obvious but one is a bit confusing. I guessed and thankfully got it right. She also has you sew the first steps, then has a paragraph about sewing fur stuck in the instructions - this should have been at the beginning! Otherwise, it's pretty straightforward and manageable.
Fabric Used: A very long haired fake fur.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I will be sewing this again. I would recommend it because it's fast and easy and cute.
Conclusion: Again, I really like her patterns. I own most of them. Unfortunately for years she's been saying she will come out with 3 new patterns (a monkey, a dinosaur, and something I can't remember) and she never has published them. I wish she would but after years of asking I'm not sure it's happening. She has wonderful fur too, by the way. I recommend her patterns for simple but amazingly cute stuffed animals - you can't beat two pattern pieces (some have 3 pieces) and how fast you can whip them together for a baby shower, small child's gift, and even my teenagers like them sometimes. This is definitely one of the easier ones if you can figure out the small errors. |
