Pattern Description: Project Runway Coat
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? love this pattern
Fabric Used:Wool coating fabric which looks like cashmere. I have had this fabric in my stash for about 8 years. I don't know where It was purchased. Although I had it stored pretty well, I had a few moth holes to cut around. I am glad I had 5 yards. The lining I purchased at Hobby lobby a few years ago.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None. This pattern is short even for my petite frame so if you decide to make it and you want it to look like the pattern I suggest lengthen the bottom. I have found recently that Simplicity patterns work well for my measurements. I don't have to do many pattern adjustments.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I made a short red one Click Here
Conclusion: This is a great wardrobe builder. I have 2 very nice coats in my wardrobe that fit. I always have to alter RTW coats (shorten the sleeves) these are perfect for me
