Pattern Description: "Sporty details like the collar and button fastening were inspired by the classic polo shirt." Sleeveless blouse with collar & placket and bust gathered into the centre front.

Pattern Sizing: 36-44 I traced the 44 to the shoulders then swiveled out the side seams to 1.5cm extra at the hem

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Mostly

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are very straight forward.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Last time I made this I had issues with the collar drafting but now I've got that sorted its really easy to use.

Fabric Used: A scant metre of lightweight cotton jacquard (the pattern calls for 1.35m/1.75yd). Beautiful hand but creases like crazy.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
* I adjusted the button placket so the blouse would open all the way down the front. My placket is 3cm wide when finished and cut on the bias (the only way to fit it on the remaining fabric).
* Lengthened blouse by 4cm and curved the hem
* Raised the waist 2cm
* French seams throughout

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is my second time with this pattern and I love it - its the perfect shape for me. I really must find a sleeve pattern that works with it.

Conclusion:
I don't wear this version much because it needs careful ironing and creases very quickly. Which is a shame because I love the fit and the look.

	nicegirl said... I love the little detail of the gathering at the placket--this is definitely a great blouse! I've found that in general Burda's woven sleeves are pretty interchangeable. Just trace one off from the same or fairly contemporary issue and pop it on. 2/7/13 10:41 AM
