Pattern Description: Semi-Fitted. A, B: Darts sewn on outside, inside leg pleats. A: Pockets attached to waistband with trim. B: Side seam pockets. C, D: Self-faced yoke.
I made view B with modifications.
Pattern Sizing:Misses 10-24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes but I made many changes to the actual pattern. About the only thing I kept was the width of the legs of View B. Were the instructions easy to follow?I did not use them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I used to wear culottes and liked them. I thought that they might be a good alternative for me to pants or skirts. I really like the width of the legs and the simplicity of the pattern.
Fabric Used:Sateen stretch twill .
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I converted to an elastic waist and in the process lost the yoke. I converted the pockets to the pockets I use on my TNT Pants where the pocket facing is actually the front of the pants at the hip. I used my TNT Pants to adjust the waistline for a tilted waist (shorter front crotch than back) and for the width of the front and back pieces at the hip.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes I will definitely make more of these. I would recommend it ...I think the width of the legs is just right.
Conclusion: I am pleasantly surprised at how flattering I think these are. I will definitely be making more in other colors and I might try view A which has inside leg pleats.

Thanks for introducing me to this pattern. It looks really useful -- I love culottes, too.

are culottes back? I loved them too when I was younger. It looks nice in the outfit, just like a skirt at quick glance.
