|Pattern Description: This apron protects against all the dangers of the kitchen, and looks simply chic! The gathered waist additionally makes a nice figure|
Pattern Sizing: No real sizing, just options for how big to cut the various rectangles
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, pretty much, except that I did not sue a border print fabric
Were the instructions easy to follow? For the most part, except how to sew the waistband and waistband facing. I made that part up.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's a bunch of rectangles so it's pretty easy. The actual pattern is not provided, Burda just tells you the dimensions of all the pieces to cut.
Fabric Used: Quilting cotton
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the apron skirt by 5 inches. If I made it again I would add a larger seam allowance to the upper apron skirt. The 1cm as per the directions only allowed for one row of gathering stitches. The gathering of course would have been more even with two.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Not sure...it took longer than I thought it would to make. I made this for a bridal shower gift, and she loved it though, so it was worth it!
Conclusion: Easy pattern, not so quick to make, but very cute apron.
