Pattern Description:
I drafted the pattern according to an inspiration photo I found on the net. As I made this as part of the Pattern Review RTW contest I decided to make it as similar as I could to the original inspiration, mostly to test how close I could make the garment to the original thing.
I think the pattern came out pretty close, my pattern sports princess seams and 6 godets that were inserted into the princess seams, a peter pan collar and a button down front.
One thing that does bother me is the fact that it's not fitted enough at the waist like the original jacket was. Pattern Sizing:
Shoulders are a bit to big and the same goes for the waist.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
At some point I was a little over whelmed with all the hand sewing that the godets needed.
Fabric Used:
Some sort of poly-cotton blend that had a wool-y feeling.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I probably wouldn't sew it again as this is one of those jackets you only need one of. BUT I may use this technique to draft a godet blouse. Hmm!

Your jacket is beautiful--I really love the stitching detail on the sleeves, collar, and godets. Congrats on your first review!

the details puts it over the edge of the original. You made it much nicer with the attention to detail. Dont let that hard work fool you. It very well done. Well worth the effort. Nice job on the knockoff. The colors work well for you. Good job.
