Very cute skirt, and quite up-to-the-minute style-wise. Re: facings not fitting the skirt waistline: did you staystitch the waist before sewing the skirt? Sometimes the waist stretches as you assemble the skirt. Staystitching will help, as would sewing a length of twill tape along the waist seamlines before beginning construction. I don't usually use twill tape--it can add bulk where you don't want it.

Very nice. I've been looking for a pencil skirt pattern with out a waistband and this looks great. Love the pleat.
