Cool fabric and a great looking shirt. He certainly looks proud to be wearing it. I'm not sure I understood about the facings. Are you going to retrace the front pieces to include the facing and make it all one piece. Is that right??? Sounds good to me. Love to see the details in the next review and show us how you did it.

I'm making this shirt for my husband right now. The only thing I don't care for on this shirt is the sleeves are so long, but I understand this is one of the principle elements of an aloha shirt. I shortened them 2"--my husband's arms are short and he likes his sleeves slightly above the elbow. The next time I make it I want to make the inside front facing and upper collar a contrasting color from the rest of the shirt. You can't do this with a cut-on facing.
