I made this up last week for my 14 yo DD - like you I would not have chosen it BUT - this was one of those projects that the pattern, fabric, and girl were a perfect match. She's a perfect size 14 except for adding 3 inches to the skirt length. Once she was dressed with her hair and makeup done, she looked stunning. Her dad was even a little bit speechless. I agree with Janet that it went together very easily and is very flattering. I especially like the was the skirt billowed when she danced.

So glad to find this reveiw- for some reason I violated my 'never tell anyone you can sew' rule today and have found my self volunteering to sew a bridesmade dress with this pattern. I feel a lot more conficent of attempting it now.
