Thank you for the kind words! Lety, it's nice to hear you still have your Mandy, too! I was 8 when I first saw a Mandy ad in the little pink dress and I wanted her so badly for a year before I got her--it does my heart good to see my daughter loving her as much as I did. Besides, how can you not adore a doll who comes with her own sewing pattern in every box!

I have My Friend Mandy, I got her on my 9th birthday back in 1979 because the Christmas before they ran out of her. She came with a pattern for a cape with a hood, which my great-aunt sewed in red satin, I still have it. It's good to see your DD loving her friend Mandy.

Beautiful job. Neither of my daughters are into dolls and dress up :( so I've never had a chance to do something like this... What a lucky girl. (both you and your daughter.
