The decorative hem treatment is a cute touch for your denim skirt. It looks multi-colored, so I'm guessing it had multiple steps. Could you tell me more about it?

Debbie, actually it is just a flower stitch on my Elna 6004, using a gold rayon embroidery thread. I didn't use any stabilizer either, just pinned the hem and sewed it. I did have one little glitch where the thread got caught in itself at the top of the machine, but I managed to rescue the project anyways. I plan on making her alot more denim pieces, and so that is why I am taking the Decorative stitch class here.

Mary, the skirt is awesome! I know my dd would love it. The decorative stitch adds such a nice touch.
