I actually added 4 inches to the length as I am tall, and I like my dresses at least knee length. Then I made a rather deep hem, maybe 2.5 inches. So really the length was not too short to begin with.

that is lovely! how did you find the length? I've made the PR dresses for kids and they were very short....more shirt than dress.
