A lovely top, Clin! Bright fabric and nice design. I really do like buttons with button loops because I think they give a garment a slightly softer look than using buttonholes. They work perfectly with this fabric and would also work well with a drapey fabric as you suggest. I can imagine this would be lovely made in a lightweight wool!

Your fabric's really pretty, but it sort of hides the button loops. I think those are hard work. Very nice top; looks a little Christmasy.

Clin, nice looking top. I'll have to give this pattern another look.

SO PRETTY, Carolyn. When I first looked at the picture, I thought this was a knit, as it has a nice little drape to it. Then I read where the fabric is a stretch woven. Good thing YOU were making it and not me, I have so much trouble with stretch wovens. This is PERFECT. I always love seeing patterns like this made up, because just going by the pattern envelope, I would probably pass it up, but looking at your finished top, it's PERFECT!
