Thanks for that review. I'm a relative beginner to sewing for myself and have 2 Hot Patterns that I picked up on sale, but decided to put aside when I saw the "directions". I think your dress looks very cute on you, and I do like the sash. I completely understand the influence of the $1.95 @ yd. sticker. At that price point, you don't sweat it if it turns out you don't love it, but if you do, then you can go get some better fabric and do it again! I think I'll wait until I have some more experience with patterns with more detailed instructions, and definitely until I finish unpacking from the latest move....I know my sewing machine is here somewhere...

Well, you whipped this baby into shape, by hook or by crook, and it paid off in the end product! I don't think it looks too pinky soft girly either, as the silver sash gives it more of an edge. Great job! (I like your hair, by the way.)

I think your dress looks pretty rockin'. I had similar problems with mine. The top was HUGE! That never happens top me 'cause I have huge boobs! :-P Also, I noticed the seamlines didn't match up in the larger size range. Did you find that true for the samller sizes?
