I agree about Kwik Sew's intelligent pattern design and instructions. You can sew a KS pattern like this with confidence that it will turn out like the pattern illustration-only better. 9/7/03 11:48 AM

I'll be testing your theory that it's o.k. to add to the length at the bottom. Looking at your photo, I agree with your assessment. You look terrific in your new skirt. Way to go, girl! 9/7/03 3:26 PM

Julia Graham said... Teri -- gathered waists aren't really that great on most people, are they? :-) I think the upper CF piece could be narrowed at the top to allow for a flat waistband in front, leaving the back elasticized; depending on your hip width, you might still have enough to pull over your hips or might have to add a zipper to side or CB since you'd be losing some waist width. The waistband on this one is only about as big around as my hips, so if I did that (and I like the idea) I'd have to add a zipper. 9/8/03 4:57 PM

I love the idea of a leftover bin, rather than having leftovers sort of crammed and hidden in various places. This could end up looking decorative rather than just messy. 9/9/03 3:27 AM
